* Here is
how G & D will dispose of your redundant,
(And soon to be illegal) Halon 1301 fire protection systems.
*
We would collect & decommission Halon 1301 cylinders from
the site.
* We would make safe these cylinders and fit safety caps.
* We would provide safe and approved transportation.
* We would make sure that the cylinders are appropriately packed
and driven away by an approved ADR driver.
* We would issue you with a waste transfer note
Later, cylinders are
decanted for re-processing for critical users, or the contents
are safely destroyed under strict controls.
If
the agent is to be reclaimed for exempt
applications the following will be carried out:
Halon 1301 would be filtered to remove any impurities and then
stored.
If the agent has to be destroyed we would arrange for it's incineration
in a plant approved by the Environment Agency.
Paperwork
will be generated throughout this process, with certificates of
destruction issued where necessary. We would do everything you
need to demonstrate total compliance with current legislation's.
We
hold an Environmental license to carry out the above collection
& disposal.
